It's the new Sweetgrass Sensibilities! Occasional updates and musings, with recipes (and maybe the odd story about the cats).

1:01:54. That's my time. It's not what I had aimed for, which was under an hour, but it was faster than last year's 1:03:42. Further, I came in 351 in my division of 1337, which is an improvement over last year's 634th place division finish. (Of course, I moved to an older division this year and am therefore a whippersnapper, but let's not dwell on that.) If I'm doing my math right - it happens sometimes - that works out to about about a 9.5 minute mile, which is better that I usually get training. Not bad, but still room to improve.

Aging has its advantages! Will your picture crossing the finish line be posted as it was a couple of years ago and where will the results be published.
Mom
That's great! I'm a little younger and I feel sure that you were beat my booty off if we raced each other.
The best I ever managed was walking three miles in right a half hour through the streets of the Sycamore Drive area. This was while I was "training" for Navy OCS. Fortunately (or unfortunately, however you look at it) I got the job at ALDOT and here I am at graduate school studying a field where in all likelyhood I'll end up BACK at ALDOT.
